The Northwest Avalanche Center (NWAC) will be hosting a FREE avalanche class. This 90-minute presentation is geared towards any wintertime backcountry user, by providing a basic approach to managing risk in a winter environment. NWAC instructors will explain how to access avalanche and mountain weather forecasts and recognize basic signs of avalanche danger.
Whether you ski, snowboard, snowmobile, snowshoe or travel by any means during the winter season, having knowledge about avalanche terrain is beneficial.
